  • Mostly the same, but different

    Historically we've stuck with the idea, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" on the diameter of the pens. As a designer, it's impossible to keep everyone happy but the biggest request we've gotten over the past few years has been to make some slimmer pens (and pencils). So, now that we have more shop capacity, we figured why not do something about it!

    Bolt Action Mini and Side Click Mini

    The Bolt Action Mini comes with a Pilot G2 mini.

    The Pilot G2 Mini is about 0.7” shorter than the Parker style refills and is still about 0.2" too short for the Fisher Space Pen refill without the adapter on the back. It’s a weird oddball of a refill and about the only thing we have found that works is getting a 3D printed adapter that allows you to use D1 refills:

Designed in collaboration with Charles Wiggins of CWF Custom Flashlights, the Apollo is our first foray into the world of premium EDC lights. Built with a top-of-the-line custom driver and machined entirely in our Dallas, TX shop

Measuring 3.6" long with a 0.740" diameter, the Apollo is the perfect pocket companion. Machined entirely from premium materials with a scooped body shape, the titanium clip is secured to the body with custom, in-house screws while a sapphire lens and clicky tail switch complete the build.

The oceans are home to a vast array of unique marine life with the deepest point being a full mile deeper than Mount Everest is tall. Pushing the boundaries of human capability, ocean exploration involves requires advanced technology, careful planning, and, of course, an adventurous spirit. This is the first Seasonal built on the newer Standard Diameter Switch Pen and features a unique mix of blue tones, reminiscent of the waves above and currents below the surface and finished with a top layer of “Typhoon” Cerakote FX to add a subtle teal shimmer. The bronze toggle switch evokes materials commonly used in marine applications while the black DLC clip and iconic Mark V Navy dive helmet engraving complete the look.

G10 is a composite material that's made by layering glass cloth soaked in epoxy. It's very popular in the EDC community for knife scales because it's light and durable but there are challenges to making it into pens. Specifically, it only comes in sheets and is extremely messy to machine. The natural (jade) color will slowly darken and patina over time while the OD Green should remain unchanged. Also, the texture is prominent right out of the box but will eventually smooth on the high-wear areas

For Those With a Darker Side

The first time we did a run of Stonewashed Titanium Side Click Shorts they sold out fairly quickly. That was with the old, 2-screw style of clip so we figured it was time for another batch in all 3 sizes and with the updated, deeper-carry milled clip. The finish is a dark, matte gray which contrasts nicely with the shinier titanium clip and buttons.
