After starting to carry a daily fixed blade, I eventually realized there wasn't one that quite checked all the boxes for me. There are several mainstays, for sure. But I wanted one very specific that I could never find. Enter the Redhawk. Coming in at just under 7" overall, the Redhawk is a solid medium-sized knife – incorporating an overall curve which helps driving the blade into cuts. It also has a reverse tanto or modified sheepsfoot blade with a small amount of belly, tall blade profile, and 0.12" blade thickness which gives it, in my opinion, one of the most well-rounded blade styles for everyday use.
The acute tip and thin, slicey blade are nice for fine work and puncturing while the handles feature a scalloped area towards the blade for a great pinch grip. It's really comfortable to use and, one of my favorite things I've mentioned about EDC fixed blades for a long time now, it has a full-sized handle with slightly undersize
This “Gentleman” sized flipper is smaller than the Turaco or imamba and slightly larger than the Rinkhals Slip Joint. It leverages the same flipper mechanism as the design proven on thousands of imamba flippers and has the same glass-like action and positive lock-up. This knife fills a hole in the folding knife assortment and is engineered to exceed your expectations.
Measures 6.8” overall with a 2.95” blade and a full-sized 3.8” frame featuring a 2.9” handle inlay. Available with an M390 mirror stainless steel blade, M390 stonewashed blade, or Damasteel blade. Phosphor bronze Skiff bearings, with 14 bearings, for smooth operation. One-handed opening using the proven imamba flipper mechanism. Includes a hand-sewn leather sheath—or ostrich leather for Mammoth Molar models—and a lanyard for easy access. Titanium frame, pocket clip, collar, and screws, weighing 2.45 ounces.

If there was a “Best Knife” classification like there is for British Best Guns, the new Arno Bernard iMamba® folding knife would fall into that category.  Just like “Best Guns”, what you see is only part of the equation and what you do not see is just as important, and in some cases, even more important than the visible attributes.  This new knife has a rounded opening tab on the top of the blade that enables one-handed opening.
Same Specs as standard Mamba.
